As far as the original version(in German) of "Natural Economic Order" is concerned, the copyright protection period finished on January 1st, 1981 in Japan according to terms on the Japanese Copyright Law and the Berne Convention for the Protection of Literary and Artistic Works. In Germany works are protected up to 70 years after the author's death(March 11, 1930) so "NEO" became copyright-free on March 11th, 2000, both in Germany and worldwide.

Taking into account the fact that the original(German), English(here) and Spanish(here) versions are available for free on Internet, we(Iwata and Hirota) are unanimous in the sense that it is our duty to offer the Japanese version in the same way. We find midunderstandings on Gesell quite frequently even in the academic world as they can only rely on secondary information because this text, although important, has not been available in Japanese, but we believe that the best way for us to respect Gesell's will is to publish this work in Japanese for free as a heritage for the humanity. The Japanese law recognizes the copyright for 50 years after the death of Iwata or Hirota, but we will not try to resort to these forces as far as the following conditions are respected.

We will set up the following conditions, however, which is a bit revised from the condition at "Aozora Bunko"(http://www.aozora.gr.jp) which offers literary works for free by the same principle as it is possible that we face with some legal issues in the future. We will be happy to be contacted if you intend to use this work in a way out of these conditions.

Conditions on the secondary use of "The Natural Economic Order" in Japanese

You can download the files.

The files are provided with information like name of the title, that of the author, that of the translators, information about the text, maker of the files, date of the publication of files and date of revisions. You can copy and redistribute the file that you downloaded both for free and for commercial purposes unless you delete such information.

You can change the format of the file and/or forms of footnotes before copying and/or redistributing.

On top of that, you can make small changes such as putting words in current letters instead of traditional ones according to Article 20-2-4 of the Copyright Law only by showing the changes to be done on the book.

You do not need to pay fee to translators not to ask them for such permissions.
