Here some scientific discoveries, like the development of a chemical fertilizer and the prevention of some epidemy, are dealt with. The chemical fertilizer which fertilizes up-to-now-barren lands will affect little on the freeland which is always fertile enough, but Gesell doesn't describe the general effect by these discoveries.
