Type 92 is a light tank for cavalry. In those days, the tank belonged to infantry arm and the cavalry could not use the name of 'Tank'. So, this tank was called as 'Jyu-Sokosha (Heavy Armored Car)'.

Type 92 was used for the scout purpose of cavalry. However, Type 92 was not many produced due to the technical defect of welding hull and the poor armament.
